The linear encoder upgrade is a drop-in replacement for the linear transducer position sensor.  The linear encoder is rated IP68 (submersible), and all components are engineered to go the distance.  The housing is hard-coat anodized aluminum, the bearings are made from long lasting Delrin,  and the system is assembled with stainless fasteners to withstand the rigors of harsh environments such as wash bays. The encoder upgrade is required when upgrading from the General Electric 90-30 analog control PLC.
